87 2.8 head R&R
Simple enough,Truck ran before head R&R.Distritor is in an right,I have spark, and fule pressure,it's all back together but the rocker arm covers, because i'm waiting to do final adjustment. Some of the vacum lines i have plug just to keep them out of the way for now,and some of the sensors are not plugged in yet.I was just wanting to get it fired up to do final adjust on the rockers.QUESTION???? DO I HAVE TO HAVE ALL THE OIL SWITCHES AND OTHER SENSORS CONNECTED JUST SO TRUCK WILL START.I HAVE FUELA AND SPARK BUT WONT START.I CAN RETARD THE TIMMING ENOUGH TO GET IT TO BACK FIRE, BUT IT WONT START,EVERYTHINGS RIGHT.ON THEASE YEARS OF VEHICLES COULD THERE BE A BROKEN WIRE TO A SENSOR THAT WILL KEEP THE TRUCK FROM RUNNING?THANKS FOR READING WIFE SAYS TRUCK MUST RUN OR GO BYEBYE ITS IN HER BAY OF THE GARAGE.LOL

Re: 87 2.8 head R&R
trust me on this one, after you do any job as big as replacing the heads you want the oil sensor hooked up... just because that's when you have the biggest chance of having a problem.
try hooking them all up, and it'll probably start right up. |
