Exclamation Wheel-- Odd Noise CV--axle? help?

My car started making a weird noise from the drivers side front tire about a month back and it stopped it only seamed to do it in the rain. you would here a poping sound and it would feel like i was getting a flat tire. Or my rim was bent or falling off. On the way home to night it was dry and it started to do it when i was driving and my steering wheel starts to shake like i have bad alignment. ill slow down a bit or stop then start again and it will be fine... Anyone know what this is? if you do please reply it will be a great help. also can you tell me how much it will be to get it fixed im tight on funds with christmas and what not.

It could be your wheel bearings, jack up your car and check for play by grabbing tire and pulling back and forth, also it could be a cv joint
