ECM B fuse blows '87 GMC 1-T p/u 454
ECMB fuse blew and had the truck towed 50 miles home. How do I determine if it is fuel pump wiring or failure, or is it a list of other possible causes?
It's a 1-ton crew cab dually with a 7.4 L (454). I will check for frayed or melted wires in the morning. Any suggestions are appreciated. I am in Las Cruces, NM. |

Hello,
I'm having the same problem with my 1995 Sierra and we have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay and oil fuel pressure switch and the 20 amp ECM B fuse pops ONLY when going forward with hard exceleration but NOT in reverse. HELP!!! |

Go through the wiring inch by inch and look for a spot that is shorting to ground.
