Theres some stuff called BMF, Bare Metal Foil. Then there's Alclad II Chrome Laquer paint that needs to be used through an airbrush. However, the stuff isnt for the newbie modeler. There are certain methods and such to apply Alclad II properly.

He's really looking for the type of edging on my EXT's TV. Aluminum foil could work though if smoothed out. Or some decent chrome paint.

Chrome tape used on Ducting works for your home might work. Usually readily available at any hardware store.

1/21? It's probably 1:24 or 1:18, I've never heard of a 1:21 anything.

He's right it is 1:21. Burago decided the 1:18 F150 wouldn't fit so they downsized it. Its too small to be a 1:18 if you've ever seen it.

Re: does anyone know where i could get some chrome backing?

I had a pic with the 1:21 next to a 1:18 HD. Big difference...

I was also fooled when I first got it.

Re: Re: does anyone know where i could get some chrome backing?

BTW: I found some chrome backing type stuff in wal-mart. In some if you go to the auto section they have "replacement mirror" pieces which you can cut to fit. They're in small sheets and would work nicely for what you're trying to to. They were a few bucks.
