Exclamation were is the map senser


Were in the heck is the MAP senser on a 1985 camero berlenetta 2.8L Multi port feul inj. We have looked on the fire wall pas. side fender pas. side kick pannel, on the air filter housing under the throttle body

well, i honestly dont know for sure, but it will be mounted somewhere directly to the intake manifold. hence the name, Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. it should be a small black module looking part with a vacume line in, and a vacume line into the manifold. the closer to the intake it is, the more accurate the reading so i would expect it to be no more than an inch away from the actual manifold.

i know the relay for it is on the back of the firewall, left of the center, kinda on that lip that is at the top, around where the holes underneath the wiper blades, god i wish i had a digital camera, i could show u what i was talkin bout... anyway if u find the relay you should be able to follow wires ot the sensor...

well, to be honest, im not all that sure about the 2.8L engines, but i do know that my IROC has the MAF and MAP sensors.

1983 berlinetta v-6 map sensor is on fire wall drivers side. it has a hose and an electrical connection on it held on by several screws
