Intake issues

Ok I will be doing my z6 in my rex
I have a 88 Si intake Manifold.
I will be going to obd1
I have a z6 Dizzy

I dont have a z6 manifold

Can I use my Si obd0 Manifold with obd1 injectors and no resistor box?

I want to use the Si Intake for smog issues as all the wires and map sensor and vaccum lines match the picture on the hood.

Also I have it already and dont have a z6 one.

Will the obd0 Map sensor work fine?
It is on the firewall insted of on the throttlebody
Will I have any issues with the VTEC and fuel delivery?

I plan to use a p28 ecu with a wire harness conversion.

Re: Intake issues

You might have to change that obd0 map sensor, but I'm not sure. The manifold itself will work though.

Re: Intake issues

Humm...

If I did that I would have to change the whole intake as the IACV and purge control valve is on the throttlebody on the later models...

I was thinking that it might work because of all the people using the Fields VTEC controller with the obd0 stuff.

I wonder what the difference with the Map sensor is...

Re: Intake issues

Someone has to have used the 88-91 intake manifold and MAP sensors with obd1 injectors.

Please give me your input.

I will have the motor this week and hope to install it in the next weeks (xmas messes everything)

I still need a cheap p28 ecu, anyone?
Wiring conversion from obd0 - obd1?
