1982 BMW 733i Suspenion Spring Drivers Side (Front) Rubbing Tire

The suspension spring on the drivers side of my 733i is rubbing the tire. The clearence on the front passenager side is about 1" higher that the drivers side. I checked and the spring is not broken and is positioned correctly. Can anyone tell me what may be happening and the fixes.
Thanks

Hmm,

I have never seen one get bad enough to rub.

There are rubber bushings in the suspension that will cause the steering wheel to give a 2 inch bounce.

Here is a link to some parts and prices.
