Auto trans in Envoy and S-10-What are they?
Last year I bought a 2001 Chevy S-10 with the 6cyl. motor. Last month I bought a 2002 Envoy with the inline 6. Can you tell me what automatic transmission these 2 vehicles have? In my Explorer I have the 5R55E transmission and in my Dodge Spirit I think it's the A-70 transmission. I would like to know what transmission these 2 vehicles(S-10-Envoy) have. Thank's! John

Both have the same transmission? Is this correct? Thanks for your reply! John

Envoy has a 4L65-E.
Still the same transmission, not sure why the "65" designation though. We've had a couple apart and can't see any differences right off except the PRNDL switch is a bit different. Hope this helps. |
