A M Radio Probelm

My FM works perfectly. The AM lasts for about 12 seconds, then dies.

What is wrong and how do I repair? Thank you.

I had the same problem with the radio on my 92, I just got a used radio off ebay for 25 bucks and havn't had a problem since.
