98 camry cd/mp3 installation

hi

I have bought a new in dash car cd/mp3 player from a shop. I want to install it by myself. is there a way i can get any link or help which lists the steps involved.

the manual given along with it does not give clear instructions at all.
is there a wire harness i will have to buy along with it to get it installed. I have no idea what all is involved in doing this, but i would like to explore this.

please can someone help regarding this, by sending any link or steps that are involved. ??

You should go to www.installdr.com, they have step by step instructions and you can get them specifically for your model car. Good luck

i checked the installdr site and it seems that car makes from 96-98 are missing in their descriptions.
i dont know if there are the same instructions applied to 99 make ??

also, along with my cd piece that i bought .. there are couple of snap in wires with sockets included in the package(these are seperate pieces not attached to the player piece). i do not know if they are the harnesses that i need or do i still go get a new harness for toyota.

how do i know.

maybe you should call the number for the player youre trying to install to make sure you have the right info.
I dont know about yours but i just bought 2 radios and they came with the harness but i still had to splice my wires in the car to install it.
So as long as you get a schematic of the wires and what they are that should be all you need to my knowledge but if im wrong im sure someone will let you know.
I just went to the site and there is a link on that first page for quick radio wiring info. there are the wires and their position. also if you go back and look at the pic they have for the 99 instructions, if it looks like your car then it should be about the same, but either way, all you need to know is the wires.
