2001 grandam fluid pump

i have the fluid filter disconnected..when i turn on key i hear the pump run but no gas comes out..sould i think that the pump is bad?

Not sure where your pump is, but if it's located further up the line (towards the engine) then it would make sense if no gas came out because it's just drawing air since you have the line disconnected.
