530d 2001 OBC language setting - HELP!!!

Can anyone help me. I own a 530d 2001 model. How can I change the language text display on my board computer (without NAVI) from german to english. I have tried the test nr.10 but it is showing only "land 00 d". Am I doing it wrong or there is some other way to do it.
Maybe you can also point me out where to find an Owners manual for my car, must be english written. I have found some on the net in pdf formats, but none for my model.

this is going to require a trip to the dealer. Typically, they will be the only ones with the computer hardware/software required to make the change. Usually, it costs around $75 and while they're at it, they can also program a host of other functions such as daytime running lights, auto-locking door locks; etc. for the one-time charge.
