Tranny problem?

Hey guys,

I own a 95 Blazer, it has 70K miles on it and just recently it has started to make this winding/wining noise during shifting.

It started slow , as it would only do it when the car was cold, but now it does it all the time thoughout all gears.

After about 1/2 hr drive if I try and put it into reverse the car dosn't move for about 10 seconds, if I press on the gass a little it jerks into gear while making the winding/wining noise.

Just recently I pulled into my driveway and the car was idleing really rough, and the exsaust smelled like salfur.

I would also like to add that after pulling into my driveway and shifting into park, it stared to stutter and my head lights dimmed for a second like the car was going to stall out but then came back.

I'm not sure if it's the tranny, or the engine.
during idle in park it makes the winding/wining noise along with a rattling sound as well.

Thanks for any help guys.

Re: Tranny problem?

Sounds like your CAT is plugged.

Also, time to check your CPI injector in your pper plenum. When it leaks, it will often kill and ruin the cat.

Have you ever had your transmission serviced? New filter and fluid?
