Choosing between Bridgestone Potenza G3 and Michelin Pilot Primacy

Hi,
I'm going to change the tires of my 528i and I'm thinking of either Bridgestone Potenza G3 or Michelin Pilot Primacy. I'm leaning toward Michelin but I was told that they are so noisy. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Hi Socrates:

I cannot speak for Michelin HP low profile tires, or the Bridgestone, all though I used to run 8.75 or 9.50 X 16.5s Bridgestone on my Ford Diesel Van Ambulances in the early 80 & late 90s, and my GA EMT drivers or I had no complaints of the Bridgestones, in fact they gave me good service running "life or death" emergencies in the rain or on the dry streets here in Hott Atlanta, GA (Jk LOL).

Now on my personal vehicle, I have a Chris Bangle & his design team 2004 BMW 530i, and I switched stock tires by personal choice from the Contential to the 245/40/18 TOYO Proxes 4's, and Parallel M BMW Wheels I bought from from Nathan at "The Wheel Exchange", (SONAR Balanced, with 34lbs PSI rear and 31.5 PSI front), and after two weeks it is really too soon to say a lot about them, but so far they DO: Handle well in the curves, on dry payment, To me One of the best things Is: NO Road Noise what so ever, (I hate tires that have road noise).

Now I have not taken it out in the rain yet, but will soon and let you know how they do. I wish I knew more to tell you about the Michelin or the Bridgestone HP tires, but my expertise is very limited right now on BMWs. But I am almost sure someone here at the forum will come along and advise you soon which is better of the two tires in question.

Sincerely,

Presley348

Thank you very much for the input.

Has anyone tried the Michelin tires?

Good morning Socrates:

Your welcome, and by the way I checked with my local tire store, and tire store Manager, plus a friend of mine at the wheel exchange really don't have good things to say about the Michelin Pilots HP low profile tires, all they would say was: They are expensive $$$ and to remember that is not the same great Michelin's family tires that go on the old "Family Truckster" (LOL), and they recommend TOYO and Bridgestone HP tires, but that is all they would tell me other than with these HP tire you have no tread warranty and once you buy them their yours, (as if you or I did not know that, shhheeeee LOL)

Hope this helps?
