Pioneer DEQ-7600

Can anyone here answer a question on this? Does the in-dash EQ replace the head unit? Or do I still need a head unit to run an MP3 player? I'm not looking for an elaborate set-up, I just want to be able to hook up an Ipod and go (don't need Cd's anymore).

Thanks

I think the ipod is currently designed to hook up to a head unit

Re: Pioneer DEQ-7600

theres just some cable you have to buy that goes fom the ipod to the aux. input which is probably in the back of your head unit. apple kinda rips you off though its like 26 bucks or so for the cable. but its worth it i guess. check an electronics store

Re: Pioneer DEQ-7600

you dont need any special cable. just plug in a normal earphones to AUX cable. like 7 bucks at WAL-Mart. and if yo uwant to keep your ipod charged get a power inverter and AC to DC adapter or get a 12V adapter.
