1988 heater problem

just bought a 1988 pontiac bonneville
low mileage
heater does not work so good. no air is coming through.fan seems to be working . hear the noise . seems warm when i touch the place where air comes out.
the car has airconditioning
any ideas
i saw the other post
is the 1988 similiar to the 1992 bonneville heating system

This looks like the common problem encountered by many: clogged evaporator.

I just notice you had seen that thread....well yes, the 1988 and 1992 have a very similar configuration so what is good for the '92 should be a good indication for you....
