Jingle

Recently I replaced shock/struts on my car, now when I go over a bump on the driver side of the car I hear a jingling noise (like a washer and bolt sound) that only happens over hard bumps. Could it be something in the strut boot, when I took it off the rubber bushing was pretty beat up, but I still threw it on figuring I'll replace it later. I know that tracing sounds it difficult over the internet, but I'm just asking on some ideas of what it might be.
I appreciate any help.Thx.

Re: Jingle

What struts did you use? when I installed my Lakewoods they came with shims to go between the base of the strut and the strut mounting bracket on the spindle. Not using this shim will allow for the strut itself to pretty much free float in it's mount.

Also another thing to check would be the swaybar end links. Make sure they arenot broken and are tight.

Re: Jingle

I installed KYB GR2s'. The front struts didn't come with any shims, only a nut.

Re: Jingle

Found the Jingle and it wasn't Saint Nick, it was the rear brake line that goes over the differential to both drums, it came loose and was banging on the differential.
Thx for input guys.
