Dash light problems

Im having problems with fuses for my dash lights. interior light fuse blew and i discovered the wires from the fusebox up to the light were melted all the way up,on trying to replace the fuse after cutting the wires to the light the fuse melted in the box, now its just a lump of plastic in the holder. Now I have no dash lights or interior light so any help would be appreciated.

I rec you disconnect power first @battery before attempting any more repair on elect than replace/rpair lump and bad wires and recheck
