Future release Trumpeter fire engine

Hey,

While I was at my lhs yesterday,(hwich is also the hub for Stevens International) I saw a box mock up of the new 1/25 American LaFrance 2002 Fire Pumper Truck. Does anyone have any info on this? There are suposedly pics online somewhere. I'll keep searching.

Frank X.

A box mockup, huh?

WW!

I've heard tell how the original version was projected to have around 400 parts and retail for around $150 U S... and now, it's in the process of getting scaled back to something a bit less ambitious.

Kool that they're mocking up the box, though - guess that means they still intend to release it! I'd have to imagine Stevens would have more dope on it than anyone else.

Say, you didn't see any box mockups of their '78 Monte Carlo, didja?

Re: Future release Trumpeter fire engine

I just saw that on the HLJ show coverage today, and am very impressed, especially with the PE parts. That's going to be a great model. I am looking forward to it for sure. I just hope it's not $150.

Re: Future release Trumpeter fire engine

My LHS is somewhat the headquarters of Trumpeter in the US. I'll ask the dude there a few questions about this. I'm going with price and availability. Anyone have any to ask?

There will not be a problem getting this kit at least in the US. I sell products to Stevens and buy from them.

Re: Future release Trumpeter fire engine

I was told to make sure I mention these are "TEST SHOTS" TEST SHOTS!! There are no hoses included in the kit so far. There is some nice PE on the truck. The panel lines need to be made deeper. The guy there, Bill, said it is the same exact model that was at the Japan show. The kit looks good in person. I am no firetruck fanatic tho. I will definately buy this kit. My dad was a firefighter. So I guess he would have wanted this kit. I don't think the little firefighter figures are included. Heh..

These are some new limited reissues my LHS is distributing.
