All of you acura guys should i get a 95 GS-R and is the engine worth it? The car is the sedan version and does this model really look bad compared to the two door? This guy want s to sell it for $4500. And it has about 110,000 miles on it. Tell me what you think? Thanks

Yea exaclty....definitley get it. If your gonna build up the motor your gonna change all the internals anyways. It might be a 4 door but hey... it could be a luxury race car.

Damn! Nice deal. I picked up my white 4dr gsr last year around october for around 10 grand even at an Acura dealership about 35 miles from me. Whe i bought it, it had about 110,000 miles on it too. FYI it is considered a sedan so insurance is a little cheaper.

i much prefer a 2 door i think they look a lot better, but it's the same engine, you can still pimp it out.. and the car will last forever..
and the 94 and 95 had the first gen ecu which you can do anything with compared to the new ecu's from 96 on which are really restrictive.. low price, great car.. go for it.. |

Re: Buy 1995 GS-r Four door or not
i have a special edition sedan but I would like a grs sedan instead but they are hard to find in my area.
it's a sport sedan and feels sporty, you would forget that your driving a four door. |

I think you should get the 4dr. A lot of people these days still wonder on 4drs rather than coupes. I have an obd1 4dr GSR...I sold the motor for a b20/vtec and she is a beauty!
You shouldn't worry too much about the mileage because like someone else said above, internals internals internals! You're deal kicks ass...mine was $5600 for 94. The thing was, my car when bought was pretty much messed up, I mean interior and exterior were literally ruined. I still wonder why I paid for it sometimes but I guess selling the motor for $3100 isn't bad. By the way, a 4dr is lighter than a 2dr. On the coupes, there's a frame where the door is, whereas the sedan doesn't have that. The reinforcement frame is what I am talkin about. Also, on the coupe, the hatch is one piece whereas the sedan isn't. So basically, the trunk on the coupe is heavier. =) Hope this helped. JDMsweetz Girls can do it too... |

Re: Buy 1995 GS-r Four door or not
I have a 4DR LS, and i have no regret getting it, except it's not a GSR...(damit)...but it will be a TURE SLEEPER since its a sedan....not a RICER ...

i got a 95 2dr teg ls and haven't had any problems with it except self inflicted and still nothing big..it has 90k and i know a kid owned it before me so she/he probably beat the shit out of it i'd prefer the 2dr but nothing wrong with a 4dr..plus a gsr..i'd buy it

i'd buy it, its a fricken good deal man! Its lighter than a coupe. Plus its sleeper material being a 4 door. Nothing wrong with the looks, I seen one the other day that was lowered and had a kit, looked really nice.
Don't worry about the miles, mine has 128,000 and it runs perfect. if it had 310,000 I would worry, but not 110,000 man, its hardly broke in! I test drove an '88 accord with 324,000 on it one time and it still ran like a champ with the original motor... so there.
