Re: best all-season snow tire?

Wish I could help ya, but I live in GA and well we just don't have that much snow. It might snow like 3 times a year here lol.
I am going to put this in the Wheels/Tires section, you will probably get better answers there.

Well your title says all season-snow tire-kinda of an oxymoron but the closest would be the Nokian NRW or WR (great all-seasons with a significant predisposition toward winter handling-with no appreciable loss in dry weather performance). As for other all-seasons the 2nd tier would be Pirelli PZero Nero M+S's and the Goodyear Tripletread-(an awesome all-season).
As for more inexpensive TRUE snow tires I would look at the Dunlop Graspic DS2, Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice, Hankook W440 or W300, or possibly the Toyo Observe Garit HT.
The WS-50 is a pretty good tire but the biggest knock-and it's a big one-is the fact that it doesn't communicate much to the driver and has the tendency to suddenly break away at the cornering limit. Otherwise it's an ok all-around winter shoe.

Re: best all-season snow tire?

Definitely Nokian tires. I have the Nokian Hakkapellitta 2s on my Civics and never got stuck or had problems in the deep stuff. Even use them for snowcross

If not my wife's Protege5 had Dunlop SP5000s on her car and they were worked surprisingly well in the one dumping we had at the beginning of this year.
