1994 3.8L Trnasport Tranny problem

Hello all,

I have just bought a 94 Transport and it seems to have a problem with the tranny. When it wants it shifts fine, but then again when it wants it only has 1st and 2nd gears. I have changed the fluid and filter yesterday, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1994 3.8L Trnasport Tranny problem

GM manual says: 1st and 2nd gear only, no 3 and 4:
possible codes: 26,56 quad driver module circuit; 36: transaxle shift contro problem

Inspect B shift solenoid for "ON" failure

Causes:
foreign material in solenoid
PCM signal grounded
Pinched solenoid return wire to ground

check:

Why thanks for the quick reply. I'm gonna have to go to the parts house and see if I can find me Chilton Manual for this puppy.
