any luck shoving different motor in?

hullo all...
has anyone had any luck cramming a different engine in a galant, of say the '95 era? i'd like more performance, and the stock engine (2.4) seems to not have a bunch of enhancements available...(so, if anyone has any good leads on that, as an alternative, i'll take 'em)... wiring and mounting mods don't really scare me.... why not just pick up something with more performance? i like 4doors and sleepers...thx
