turbo diesel into 4000s Quattro?

I have an 84 4000s Quattro in very good condition, however I wish to install a turbo diesel from a 5000 in place of the gas engine. I need to know if the flywheel from the Quattro gas standard will work on the nonQuattro Automatic diesel? Is the crankshaft bolt pattern the same? Are there any balancing issues? Any help would be appreciated.
