problem... please help!!!!!!

ok i'm havin troubles again.... i went out to start my car today and the battery was dead, so i jumped it. when i got to work i turn the car off and then back again to start it but nothin happened. i had the alternator replaced about a month ago and i know its good cause i can take off both wire goin to the battery and the car still runs. the battery i replaced about a week after the alternator. the only thing in this equasion i haven't ever replaced is the battery cables.... so is that my problem...... sometihng is wrong there like they are broken, acid ate through 'em, etc.

also when i come to a complete stop at a light or something my car idles at like 1400 -1500 rpms for about five seconds and then drops back down to 800-900. no dummy lights are being thrown like last time when the alternator went.

please help!!!

Re: problem... please help!!!!!!

Are you getting spark? Could be your coil pack or your plug wires. Does the starter turn over at all?

Also, are you sure you drove the car enough to recharge the battery?

Re: problem... please help!!!!!!

how would my coil pack be be related. and yea i think the batt had plenty of time to charge. and the idle wasn't fucked till this started to happen. and the starter turns over fine when i'm being jumped. when i turn the car off and then try to start it again its like the batt is completely gone. the interior dash lights are dim, no door open or key in ignition beep, no power locks. when i hit the brakes with the key in the on position, the door open light on the dash along with the oil and brake light disappear and slowly regain thier dim illumination.
