Anyone know the application for the AEM bypass valve for G20's at the AEM website? Should I be ordering the Sentra SE one 2000-2001 or the 240sx?

As long as its 3" diameter it should work. Your gonna have to do some custom work to make it fit in there with your HotShot CAI, anyway, so it really doesn't matter what car the BPV is made to fit.

Really .. it needs some custom work - well that sucks .

Well I can't make out what these #'s are on the application list anyhow - so don't know which would be 3" in diameter.. :/

What kind of custom work would we have to do? I'm planning on getting a CAI...just wanna know what I would have to do including the bypass valve. Thanks.

Bypass valve is waste of money

The bypass valve is a waste of money unless you drive through floods.it only opens if the filter is completely submerged not if its wet. so in the rain it won't open only if the water is over the filter and if you are driving in that much water you will have other problems

Alright, I'll save myself $50 . When I was reading that it's needed when driving fast in rain - that's when I started considering buying it. But if it's not needed unless there are floods, then I won't bother with it, as there aren't floods here. Thx for pointing it out.

okay check it out, i used to have an aem cold air intake.. whata loud piece of shit, first off.
all you have to do with the valve is match it up as far as the diameter of your intake goes 2.5" 3" somethin like that.. and you cut the intake wherever you wanna put the valve.. i guess id put it before where the maf thing goes.. but for the most part as long as you keep whatever plastic shielding there is under where the filter would go, you should be okay, unless your car is really slammed and you drive through pool sized puddles.. i mean, just use good judgement.. thats the safest bet, i used to drive my honda through everything.. never had the valve on there though.. i had a cold air intake though, outta curiosity though..... the aem cold air intake for the sentra, do you think it would fit a 93' g20? i wonder.. cause the intake was listed for a sentra se-r, same engine, i dont see why without a few mods it would fit, but would it be as good or better or worse than what the hs cai does?
