hmm,

Like the Mustang there are many versions.

325 can mean
e30 = 1984-1990

e36 = 1991-1998

e46 = 1999-present

All models had "M" series = Motorsport = a Race Version

Prices run from 1k to 65k for the latest M toys.

Power ranges from 160 to over 350 hp.

I am still driving the 1984 model I bought new.
Of course I also have an earlier version e21 and a later big toy e24 shark.

My toys.

Later,

The 3-Series is the base design of the BMW lineup in America. They are all 4 seaters with 2-4 doors. The "25" in "325" signifies the 2.5 liter displacement (the 3.0L is in the 330, 2.3L was in the 323, etc...). All of them are RWD. The 325 isn't nearly as fast as a Mustang in a straight/drag, but the 3-series has always been known for its outstanding handling and drive/car connection.

IMO, the BMW 3-Series is the perfect combination of a sports car and a luxury car.

Re: 325?

dinanm3, i believe there is a small mistake in your post. The 323i has a 2.5 L engine like the 325. The difference is this engine has been slightly detuned from the 325's. This is most likely because BMW figured there wasnt enough of a difference in power between the 325 and 328. When the 330 came out replacing the 328, the 325 was reinstated. Hope thats all correct!

325

rsjet, in fairness to DinanM3_S2, the 83-86 323 was a 2.3L. Pistons mic-ed at 80mm and were in the euro vs not for sale in usa. The USA vs had to have 84mm which is 2.5L to accom. US emmisson standards. But all else is correct. Thanks
