Access to speaker wire inside dash
96 civic lx.
i wanted to run new wire from my 2ch amp to my front speakers when i realized i couldnt even get to the wires. i was advised to buy a Chiltons or Haynes manual. i havent yet but it appears that i need to remove some items from up under the dashboard, i didnt want to mess with it though. has any one done this?

Re: Access to speaker wire inside dash
All you would have to do is remove the wires that come off of the factory harness and run new wires from your amp to your speakers directly.

right but i need to get to the rubber hose that connects the door to the frame. and its way up under the dash. thats the only way i can get to wire to the speakers is through that hose.

Re: Access to speaker wire inside dash
That hose is a big pain to deal with. Sad as it made me I just wired into the existing wires and didn't bother running my new wiring into the doors. With the stock wirining it was already tight, with larger guage it would have been really difficult to get that tube through the hole.
