Headlight switch on 95 Astro van
Hi,
I have a 95 Astro van Mark III and my dash lights have gone out and now the overhead dome lights don't work anymore. I think it is the headlight switch so I have one but was wondering how to get the old one out? Thanks, Grill |

Yes, I checked the fuses, they are OK. I didn't do the voltage check though, I will. I'm still going to change the switch though. Is there any special things I need to know about before prying the dash loose? Thanks, Grill |

When my 94 astro lost the dash lights i replaced the headlight switch with a used one, this made no differance. What the problem turned out to be was one bad bulb in the dash. Apparently the same people that engineer the christmas lights designed the dash circuits on the astro. Changing the bulbs is a pita. The heat control has to be removed no fun. While I was there I replaced every single original bulb in the whole dash with a long life bulb. I hope this van is sold, wrecked or dies before i have to do this again!
