power antenna replacement problem

If the nylon strip with the teeth is missing when the mast is removed is this a problem? If not which direction should the teeth face when replacing? Any help will be appreciated!

Well I am not sure, someone on here does know tho, b/c they have informed me about changing the mast. but I have a question where did u find the Power Antenna Mast at? I have check at autozone but could not find any Power antenna mast just fixed mast.

Purchased at the dealer. They had to order. Thanks for the response. Hope whoever knows sees the post.
