'90 Blazer Fires, but won't start
If anybody can help me out here, I'd sure appreciate it. I have a '90 Blazer and a few weeks ago it started giving me a hard time when cold starting it. It starts fine when it has been run. But when it is cold, it will fire, then quit. I can turn the key over and over and it will always fire, but then it quits. After about forty attempts, it'll will run just a little longer each time, but still die. If I keep at it, over and over, it'll eventually run. It is getting gas, no problem there. And it must be getting spark, since it fires. What am I missing?

Re: '90 Blazer Fires, but won't start
It sounds like the truck is "choking". Do you know how old your Catalyic Converter is? I have heard quite a few people say that their CAT's get eaten away on the inside. Did you check the actual fuel pressure with a gauge or are you guessing it is getting enough gas? I would check the fuel filter after you check your fuel pressure (if it is low). Sounds like a fuel/air problem. Just try to check things before replacing things. Autozone rents out tools. The tools will be charged until you bring them back to Autozone and then they will give you money back.
