oh boy!!

ok my luck seems good
i just found a b16 complete block minus the pistons and head for $100. it spun a rod bearing and has cracked pistons (thats why its minus the pistons) the block looks good but your really cant tell just by sight.
you think i should buy it? i think i am, it cant hurt too much its only 100 bux and anything that is wrong can most likely be fixed.

Re: oh boy!!

$100 for an incomplete F'd up B16 block?! Kinda seems like a lot of money to me. The expensive part of a B16 is going to be the head. $100 doesn't seem like a good deal. Shit, I'll sell you my complete B16 block for $200. Its good, doesn't even burn any oil.

buy SiZ's engine, you get everything and you know it has no problems - not to mention you'll save a ton of money down the road

Re: oh boy!!

Ya man.. If you're going to spend that much money on just a bare block, when I take my car out of storage in the summer I'll sell you my block. For $200 american I can easily pick up a B18A block for my head and tranny.

Seriously though man, shop around. There's gotta be way better deals out there. $100 for a fucked up block isn't a good deal at all.

Well its def. a newer engine. But in order for a engine about 5yrs old to have a spun bearing the car must have been driven like hell.... But on the other hand it could be low mileage and good besides on cylinder. The pistons cracked-id say there could be some cyl. wall scratching which means youll need that cyl bored and youll have to do all 3 at the same time. If he is gonna charge 100 bucks try to get some other stuff from him. Or id offer him no more than 75 bucks!

sounds good. Just dont want you to pay to much....
Dont want to spend 100 bucks on something thats gonna cost you another 200 to fix, when you can spend 200 and get one that works!
Kind of get what i mean?
Try to get some other stuff with it. AHh thats what happens to me, ill go somewhere to get 1 specific thing and ill come home with a crap load more.
