How much power does the b2200 have?
Hey guys, considering purchasing a 1990-1993 Mazda B2200, 5-speed shortbox, regular cab.....
What kind of balls does this truck have? What horespower are we looking at? Torque? Can it tow boats? Haul sleds?? And fun stuff like, can she peel the tires? without dumping the clutch? what is top speed? what is power like? this will be my first car as i am 17 and looking for a car to get, would this be a good choice?

b2200
the b2600 has 143hp and i think the b2200 has 121hp. you might want to check that but i belive that is right.

I've got an '89 B2200 and its top speed is about 100 mph. I can bark second when I want. Its a fairly smooth ride. I have pulled a 16' bass tracker with a 90 hp motor with no problem, but anything bigger might be a strain. I also pull a trailer with lawn equipment pretty regular.

The tech specs say 85 hp stock. If any miles on it much less. Tech specs also say max speed 110 mph. My B2200 would not run 110 mph downhill with a 105mph tailwind.Lol. BJ

I had mine up to 125 one time on a very slight incline or atleast that is what the guy in the eclipse said who clocked me. I was running some pretty heavy mods though :-D
If you get the truck cheap enough you can put a couple hundred dollars into it and have it do pretty good on power. Not a sports car by any means but enough to pass on the interstate fairly easily and stuff. They run 150% better with a weber carb and opened up exhaust.

Man, I LOVE my truck. I only say nice things about her. However, I also only say true things about her and she is like me-old and slow.But since we are BoTH old and slow, we get along real well. Lol. BJ
