Idle Problem

I own a 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado (V8 - 27K miles) which has an intermittent idle problem that started at 3K mile. The vehicle has been back to the dealer at least 10 times but the problem has not been resolved or replicated (by the dealer). The check engine light has not come on nor have any codes been captured by the computer. The dealer had installed an on board computer which was attached to the vehicle for one week. The driver was instructed to push a button when the problem occurred. The problem occurred several times while this device was attached but nothing was recorded. The throtle body has been cleaned three times.

Description of the problem - Idle drops or fluctuates from normal to a very low RMP (almost to the point of stalling) when coming to stop or when vehicle is stopped at a light. While problem is occurring, putting the vehicle in neutral or park will return the idle to normal.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

this is strange for such a new car, I would try to post this on the Grand Cherokee site or even the dodge ram site as they use the same motor in trucks
