no power to fuel pump!! -'92 Rodeo 3.1L

On a '92 3.1L Rodeo we did lot's of testing of relays, fuses and injectors we finally figured out that there is no power to the fuel pump. There is power to the tank level sensor right next to it. And there is power to the injector plug-ins, but the jet's don't turn on. Does anyone know something to make life easier in troubleshooting this, or is it just break out the schematics and trace it back to the battery or ECM???
Also, the Check Engine light does not temporarily turn on when putting the key in the starter position. It doesn't come on at all.

So, you've already checked all the relays and fuses. I'm not sure, but some vehicles come with an inertial cut-off switch that is designed to cut power to the fuel pump in the event of a crash. Sometimes these things trip for no aparent reason. I don't know if Rodeo's have them though. Also, you might have a break in the power wire somewhere along the way. As for the check engine light not coming on, the bulb is most likely burned out.

Re: no power to fuel pump!! -'92 Rodeo 3.1L

Ok, thanks. I will check the manual to see if it is equipped with one. Also, there is an old anti-theft device under the steering wheel column. It looks like the key has been broken off from it. It could be someone kicked it and loosened a connection? i'll double check that. I will also trace the entire power line from the pump to the engine. I've already done an initial trace but this time will see exactly where the power stops. And yes, I am absolutely sure the relays and fuses are good. I did not see any fusible links but there is definitely a power disruption somehwere. -also replaced oil pressure sender since the fuel pump info said that this must be operating correctly for the fuel pump to work.

Re: no power to fuel pump!! -'92 Rodeo 3.1L

Finally found out the problem -thanks in part to this forum! It was a bad ground at the front right of the engine. It's a dual ground and the broken wire was hard to see underneath. Obviously a ground to the fuel pump.

Shew!!!!!!
