Quad 4 spark gap ?

Ive just finished checking the Quad 4 Im working on for spark with good mocked up wires and the plate grounded. I hooked up my spark tester to each wire and checked for spark. They all fired, but not at an impressive gap. None would fire past 25 on the tester. I thought spark on GM DIS systems were supposed to jump to at lease 35 to 38 on a spark tester. Could someone please correct me if Im wrong. I need to know before I start condeming the coil or module. Thanks.

Re: Quad 4 spark gap ?

Haynes manual says a 96 2.4L should be gapped at 60 thousands of an inch.

Thanks for the info, but I already knew that. I need to know how wide of a gap to set my spark tester, not the gap for the plugs.
