Looking for 1967 or 1966

Hello

I am looking to buy a 1967 Chevelle Malibu 2 dr hardtop. I am located in California and am having a tough time finding one that isn't completely trashed for under 6K. I am hoping to find one for between 3-5K in running order and with minimal rust and body damage. Other than that I anything will work. I am willing to pay more than 5K if I find something I really like but basically I am looking for a project.

Does anyone know of anything for sale like this or of a good place to find chevelles for sale.

I had a 66 Chevelle SS but had to sell it a few years back and have regretted it ever since. My first choice would be 67 but am also interested in 66. Also the car does not have to be in California if I can find reasonable transportation to CA.

Thanks for any help.

Got a truck and trailer? If I were you, I would be willing to drive to NM or AZ. Check the local newspaper websites. I would stay away from east coast chevelles since they are usually rusty in hidden places. Or keep watching this site and hope for something to pop up in your area.

dont forget the "project" section of the site

Re: Looking for 1967 or 1966

Hi, don't know if you are interested in this one or not. I am selling a 1967 chevelle for a friend of mine on ebay. It has a 350 motor in it and a 350 turbo transmission. It is in great overall shape, interior looks real good too. The only problem he has with it is, he thinks the modulator valve is bad on the transmission, it won't shift out of low. If you want to check it out the item # is :1967 CHEVELLE MALIBU SS RUNS GOOD NOT 68 69 70 Item number: 4515985846
Thanks, and have a Happy New Year!

Thanks for the info from everyone so far.

Damarr30, do you have any idea what it would cost to have the car shipped from Tennessee to California?

Thanks

It's 2700 miles from Chico to Unicoi. Going rate is .85 per mile.
