Lightbulb Downpipe, NOS, Test Pipe ,SL?

In the 3000GT FAQ I found this N/A Bible: http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=85924

I had a few questions about how I would go about some
of thes modificatons. I know I've been asking a lot recently but
I should be coming up with around 3k for my car by selling my Mazda,
and I'm trying to plan how I'll pay for my next mods.

Sorry about all the Q's

"DOWNPIPE, either dnp or 3sx depending on which emmission car you have. this mod is good for a reported 13hp at the wheels.
300 bucks, and your exhaust note changes CONSIDERABLY at 4k rpm.this is where youll get some nice gains from the air filter."-from article
Would a 91-99 3000GT Downpipe VR-4 fit on my 1991 SL?

"NITROUS OXIDE, go with a wet shot. i have dry and it blows. but now you will realize the power of the fuel pump. no engine going boom is worth 100 bucks dont you think? get a used nos kit. its cost effective."-from article
Any opinions on this, or say with a Dry Shot?

"TESTPIPE, i sell these. this mod is good for about 7-8 hp, but further more it will allow you to pull all the way to redline, instead of falling off the hP table at 6800."-from article
Would this render mine unavailable for the streets?

Re: Downpipe, NOS, Test Pipe ,SL?

As far as the downpipe, no the vr4 dp wouldn't fit. When buying one, make sure you get it for the correct trim of the car and for the correct year. There is no 91-99 vr4 downpipe, there is a 91-93 and a 96-99. 94 and 95 were one or the other, as they were hybrids...it is car specific.

Testpipe, it will make you fail emissions...if you don't have emissions...go for it, if you live in Cali, forget it.

Go wet over dry nitrous. Wet is safer as it has jets for nitrous and extra fuel, so you don't run too lean. There are plenty of threads regarding the differences...so do a search if you want more specifics on nitrous.

-15Gs, 3sx aluminum pulley, FMIC, SAFC, walboro pump, EVO 560ccs, and Meth Injection Kit all waiting to go in shortly.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

don't put that much weight into emissions testing. that's obviously only for the annual inspection (at least its that way here in TX). so for that one day, you can easily swap your cat back in. its just a 15 min swap, 4 bolts, pretty easy. Ya, testpipe is good, you'll gain top-end hp, but lose some low-end torque. however, since you have a VR4 (i think), all your backpressure is provided by the turbos, so you shouldn't lose any low-end torque with the installation of the testpipe.

have fun, but please keep in mind, that by using the testpipe, you will be POLLUTING like a mofo. w/o the catylitic converter, there's no catalyst to provide chemical rxns to convert the harmful exhaust gases into much less harmful gases. so please be conscious of this mod.
