Question spark plug cover 1996 elantra

How do you remove the cover to change the spark plugs? the socket will not fit in the hole that the nut sits in.

Re: Re: spark plug cover 1996 elantra

Use a long extension. To take the plugs out, use the spark plug socket. When putting them back in, slip the end of the sparkplug into the socket just enough to hold onto it. Start turning for a few threads. Once it takes, switch the spark plug socket out for a deep-well socket of the same size (5/8" I think). That way when you are done seating the plug all the way in, the socket will slip right off with ease. (The rubber inside the spark plug socket will keep it from backing off easy).
