manually shift out of 4wd

93 s-10 blazer is staying in 4wd.I changed the motor in the tranfer case and it shifted out while on the rack but would not on the ground. How do I shift it out manually?

try it in the air again. It's possible that it's jamming a little in 4x4 making it tough to pop out.

if it free's up while in the air try rotating the baldest tires to the back, it shouldn't load up the front end as much then

Okay, it's diagnosed as the control modulator behind the glove box. The motor disengages then engages right back. So, what does this control modulator look like and how do I get to it?

if its the 4x4 comp your lookin for....
its under the pass side.....under the panel.
take down the computerbox....its teh small box piggybacking on the main comp.
2 nutts and its off.
get one from a yard...or pay like 250$ from a dealer.

Now for some odd reason my heater fan stopped working.Not good in Anchorage. Checked the fuses and they're all good. What is it? I'm just tryin to sell it. No more s-10's for me.

All the first gen Blazer's love to eat the fan control. Pull your heater control out and check the switch. Use a test light to find the hot wire and take a small piece of wire to use as a jumper and test for your three speeds. If it still doesn't run, check the resistor block in the heater box accessible from the engine compartment.
