anyone done a model T or A chop?

hey has anyone done a model T or A chop before?

not like a full blown lowered street rod i have seen before but something retaining to the original (same stance, and body parts) the parts can be altered but not to a huge extent (a huge roof chop) if it would be chops it has to stay around something that can be easyly done (3")

(or if model A no chop!)

same different rims and tires, but still staying to the same sort of style. for paint keep it to the only colour you can get the car in black! but any veriation of black (flat, gloss, matallic) it can be slightly lowered for cornering (remember this might be made in real life) and would mostly be a daily driver! if this would be made in real life the engine is going to be a 4 banger and either a std or auto trans (floor mounted) the trottle would be relocated to the floor (origanally it was mounted to the steering coloum) the drive train, interior, and suspension will be upgraded to newer equipment but still retaining to the origanal.

well you guys can get to work on that if you can then post the origanal and chopped photo on here, please.
ps i will try and find a good starting photo to work with for you guys.

model A
model A 2

Sounds interesting. Both on the chop and your project if it happens.
Find some good pics of some T or A and the wheels/tires you would like. As for for chopping the top a bit on a T should be no prob. As for atlering anything else that "could be done" leaves a lot of questions..
Also if you do this, You metioned changing to a new trans, suspention motor.. Cool but you said nothing about the frame. I think the A was under 10 HP. A modern 4 banger in it might twist it into a prezel!
Heck I'd scrap everthing and drop the shell on to whole new setup,
Heh your probraby know all this..

Re: anyone done a model t chop?

well i have been watching american hotrod and all they are doing to there frames are boxing a adding a few more cross braces in the rear. and they are using v8's and im looking at using a 4 banger so i think the stock frame boxed would hold up fine

my main problem right now is convincing my parents to help get the car to start working on and there arnt really around here, and if there was they are already restored or choped into hotrods and way out of my price range.
