Hesatation When starting out

Anyone know what this might be from? Its in the shop right now. It doesn't do it all the time and isn't real noticeable unless you drive the car all the time. It seems to hesitate between like 2nd and 3rd gear maybe. So far the transmission is fine. Seems to do it more on turns too???? Its a 1999 5.9

Clogging cat. You know it, if it does it when turning.

Re: Hesatation When starting out

The catalytic converter in your exhaust path is likely clogged and broken inside.

I wish it was. Macanic said it is the trans......and when i picked it up and pulled across a street to turn it hung up real bad and then kicked into gear really hard. Seems to do it only when you get on it to pull out fast

Re: Hesatation When starting out

I thought my trans was going or my engine was seizing because my truck was lurching so bad on the way to the exhaust shop, the tires were chirping on the pavement. It was almost like half the rear end was gone out.

Best of luck with whatever it is.

So was yours the cat converter that time? I've had one of those go out in a mustang I had long ago but it was noisy. The dealer wants $85 just to hook it up to the computer.
