Clear coat drying time.....

Im wondering if any of you guys & gals can give me a tip or two on how to speed up the drying time (no prizes for guessing why !?!) for Tamiya clear coat. Im also wondering if 5-7 days of natural drying time would be enough before letting loose with the compound, waxes etc.

Thanks, Mike

Put it in the carboard where your hotwater cylinder is.

Thanks again, Mike

Re: Clear coat drying time.....

I usually do 7 days minimum. Never less.

That's 7 days of ambient drying.

Thanks for the answers. I usually do at least 3 weeks with most models but i really want this finished before a certain deadline. Guess its going next to the hot water cylinder for a few days as i dont own a food dehydrator thingy !!!

Re: Clear coat drying time.....

Food Dehydrators seem to be few and far between in the UK and at a price of 200 Pounds ($385) I think I'lll stick with the Boiler Housing for a few days.
