mustangs

I have to agree. Mustangs aren`t worth it nowadays. And I own a 98 V6 convertable...but my wife pretty much drives it. The only reason i take it sometimes is cause of the convertable top and the $1500 stereo system i put in it. ( which I would much rather take out and put in my civic but the wife won`t let me ). Plain and simple= don`t waste you`re money on a mustang. V6 gt cobra it`s all the same. hell for the same price buy a new prelude. Or if you have to have an american "sports car" get a camero....more power for you`re money :alien:

Definately

I just hate seeing the V6 Stangs though, geez, what a waste of money. Why do they make those?

See, I probably wouldn't mind them as much, but I saw this '98 mustang today, it was lowered with some weird-ass HUGE rims, it had the altezza lights in the back, it had this HUGE double stack wing on the back, and it was a V6. It's like....why didn't you just go and buy a V6 Accord? You wanted it to look like an import, why not go buy one? Save yourself some money and pride.
Guess they just want to be able to say that they own one...geez...whatever....

why does honda make a civic dx when you could get an si or ex? or why does acura make an integra ls when you could get a gsr or type r?, because people will pay less money and sacrifice performance just to have the look, which accounts for why about 7 or 8 of every 10 civics you see on the road is a shitty 18 second dx. heck, a new v6 mustang doesnt sell for that much more than a civic dx.

I love the body style and sound of the 5.0 in my Mustang but….. I can’t believe how crappy the car was assembled. When I purchased the car at 20K miles it had several misaligned body panels and tons of rattles. Obviously Ford didn’t put quality first. Despite all its weak points, I’m gonna hang on to it cuz it still looks sweet.

Hopefully I will be in my first CRX soon. Seems like every CRX owner loves their car… I may as well find out what they are talking about!

Which I totally agree with. I don't understand why there are low model cars. You'd think that if you were going to buy a car, then you'd get the one with all of the--well what one would assume to be 'standard stuff'. Usually the people that get lower end models either get stuck with them, or some other weird reason. I don't understand why they make cars anymore w/o power windows, locks, etc. I dunno, it would just make more sense to me to make one model.

i can half agree with you on the making one model but then again if they only made one model of each honda... we could all be driving accord lx's , or civic dx's...... who's to say they would make the good ones.... might as well save themselves money if they are only going to make one...but sometimes i agree, and sometimes i don't like i am glad we have multiple models there was some prick the other day who has a saturn, and he was yapping how he could take a lot of cars with it, and he asked what i had and i said a civic, and he said yeah man i can take any civic on the road, that isn't modded, and he went on for a few and then he added well i can take any except the si, and after he ran his mouth for a few then he decided to ask me what model i had...
i smiled and said "the blue one"...........................he shut up...
gotta love the models i guess

My take on it, are that lower models are good, especially if you are gonna mod it up. WHy by an Si over a DX (except for the B16 in the Si ) if you are gonna replace much of the stuff on it anyways, why not just spend the lesser amount if it's gonna come out looking pretty much the same anyways? Just my $0.02
