Discrimination.

OK, this really pisses me off. Discrimination. Whether it be against a human as a person, or in my case, cars. I think it is so asnine that people think that just because you own one car brand. That means you cannot own another brand. If you do, they look down on you like you are some kind of freak. If this were a human being we are talking about, would they say the same? probably. Now, I have been fortunat to not have been discriminated against as a person, but if it ever happened. I would be pissed as hell. Just from this one incident with a car. Do I make any sense? or am I just rambeling on...

Welcome to the real world. I get it more from the personal end then a car end. I personally don't have a preference on cars since I'm lucky to own one. While I may rag on cars a lot, point is, you have something to get you from point A to point B. Not a lot of people can say that and have a car. Don't stress what other people think.

No, No you make sense. I never discrimate people or race, but I do look down on Gangs and White Supremecy Groups. As for Cars, I like a few certain brands and don't really care what you drive cause at least it's a car.

I understand that, but to think I am less of a person, because I drive a Infinti, and bought a Honduh? Thats what pisses me off. Well, any discrimination does, but oh well.

Remember, some people not only choose a car because it fits the budget, but people also have personal preference. Sure I'd want a BMW M5, but I'd still be happy with a 1991 325i. It's the brand not the car. That's cause I like BMW. Some people like Honda, I have no problem with that.

Question ummm...

ummm....well. I understand that. But If I knew you personally, and you drove a Acura, and I drove a Acura, and you went out and bought a Nissan. Do you think it is fair for me to think you are less of a person, or inferior now because of it?

Uhh. That's too confusing for me. I guess not, but it would heavily depend on the circumstances, if I lost my job or something along those lines, I doubt that you would go up to me and consider me to be inferior. On the other hand I a switch the cars for a model within the same price range, no questions asked. Difficult situation however.

It sounds to me like you have three cars, while some people have none. What kind of discrimination are you expecting based on your car? That the valet won't park your car in front? And whose business is it the succession of the cars you own? Would you worry about moving from a house to an apartment?

Are you starting an automotive anti-defamation association?

Who the fuck are you, coming at me like I am some snobby bitch. I worked hard for my cars. So you can go fuck yourself. Excuse me for being blunt, but that was not even crossing my mind. If you took the time to read what I was saying, maybe you could post a half decent post. I was saying this:

I happen, to like my G20, I have friends, who also drive G20's. Now, when I announced to them that I bought a Honda, one of these so called friends, gets pissed off, and says I am stupid for buying one. He then says he will not cruise with me when I drive it. He has a thing against Hondas. So to me, this is some type of discrimination. Is it not? He basically thinks I am less of a person, for owning another brand of car. Now, I can say I know what it feels like to be discriminated against. Now I have not been discriminated against because of my race, religon, sex, etc. But I feel for the people that have been. Does this make any fucking sense? Huh? Or are you to fucking one minded to understand that? Fuckstick...

Whoa! Whoa there Kris! I don't think that he was taking it there. Calm down. He was just pointing out from what I understand, that it shouldn't matter what others think. At least that is what I hope you you were trying to say Silver S2000.

But my thread was not to say I cant handle what others think. I just think it is fucked up to discriminate against others, whether it is for a car, or for the color of your skin.

There is a monsterous difference between discriminating because of race, creed, religion and voicing a dislike for a model of a car. I, do not like the gay lifestyle. I want nothing to do with it. So, I go out of my way to avoid it. Doesnt mean I am discriminating against anyone, I choose to do nothing.

Tollerence and acceptence are to different things.

I agree with you on that. But what can you do? People don't listen nowadays and feel insecure or superior to others. If that was a friend of yours and you use to hang out and stuff, by this I mean the person who discriminated against you, then either forget his ass or just ignore him. It's not worth your time trying to reason with people who have no idea what is out there and feel the need to let others feel inferior. Like I said before, the car looks pretty nice, if that red one is the one you bought. Looks like the brunt of the work on it is already done so you have little to do.

Society is selective about which forms of discrimination are deemed acceptable, its one of the (many) things that bugs me.
