1995 Saturn SL1 Heater trouble please help!

hi.
a few weeks ago my heater wasnt working right. when i turned it one high is sounded like it was going to blow up, very loud. i had the heater blower replaced and it worked only on high, but it worked. i work on a VERY bumpy road and hit a bump this morning now no heat and no blowing either. please help, i know little about cars and i dont want to get taken for a ride at the mechanics.
