Re: HELP..remove transmission mount
I have the same problem. No solution yet. Thinking about drilling 2 holes in the wheel well to access the 2 bolts. No internet solution found either.

Re: HELP..remove transmission mount
On 96 Grand Am 2.4L you have to remove the right side motor mount first to get the top 2 trans axle bolts on the left side trans axle mount bracket removed. You will need a 3 foot pry bar to move the engine over to the side as far as possible to make room for the 2 top bolts to be removed. The trans axle bracket and trans mount are removed as one unit after all 8 bolts are removed.

Re: HELP..remove transmission mount
Welcome to AF royengle!
please note the post dates on these older posts. Whether its the V6 or 4 Cyl you need to support the engine. either the J tool that supports from the top or a jack under the oil pan, just dont forget to use a large piece of wood or your jack will go thru the oil pan!! So once its supported, you''ll need to remove things in the way of the mounts bolts. If the bushing is the only thing damaged you can remove the center bolts which holds it thru the center and lower the engine/trans to remove bushing. IF its the whole mount broken then all 6-8 bolts need removed from teh trans/engine. I forget the exact details but will try and find some pics to help.
