Exclamation 89 Wiper removal

So, the guy who had this car before me jacked up the entire wiper assembly...

I now wipe about 5 inches off the windshield on the driver side... I need to rotate the entire wiper assembly lower...

Chiltons says I need a tool, but I saw a little silver tab where the assembly attaches, but how the f*** do I get the damn thing off????

If this was answered before, I searched for wiper, but nothing I read seemed right, but I'm saying sorry ahead...

PLEASE HELP!!! It's getting really rainy here in Oregon and I've only got half my blade left, don't want to replace it till I get the wiper fixed...

1. swing & hold the wipper arm up away from the windshield
2. pull out that metal tab & let go of the wiper arm
3. pull the wiper arm straight off
