What mods should i get next
yeah... i got that 97 GTP coming from my friend... im trading him my 98 GT and they have the same exact amount of miles +-3K.. except my car is not in the best conditioin.. i mean its far from a POS but also far from Excellent... mechanically speaking and my 98 GT could use a new paint job... That GTP im getting has a 3.4 inch pulley by Pulley Boyz. My friend also took the u bend and the resonator out. He didn't put a CAI on it but he did take out the stock airbox and juss throw one of those 9 inch open cone intakes on... I have a few questions for you GTP experts out there.. My next mod as soon as i get the car next week is definatly with out a doubt gunna be the standard PCM by Intense. My first question is... since i have the u bend and resonator out.... would it be worth my 220$ to buy a WizarAir CAI to help the S/C breathe... or would that K&N 9 in open cone intake be fine. And assuming that i should and will get a CAI to replace that open cone intake... what should my next mod be... im looking for cheap power... or one expensive mod... i dont care at all.. whatever combo is gunna get me the best power output...i only have 500-700$ to spend for a LONG time on this car as i am a 19 year old college student with a part time job at Subway... lol. My point being... i need good suggestions here.. like somoene told me a set of mufflers or exhaust. an exhaust system alone cost 500-700 bucks and would only give me 10-15 HP if im not mistaken... anyways... im looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say..

Re: What mods should i get next
You'd be better off changing to a FWI or CAI. The open cone is just sucking hot air from the engine compartment. Remember, colder is better!

PCM, then save the rest of the money and see what the car does. That car may run great with the 9" cone. You can always get cold air box later, If needed.

Re: What mods should i get next
yeah but you dont understand, i could not make one of those FWIs, i read the instructions, im tool illiterate. I am clumsy as hell at building and doing stuff with my hands. Plus i dont have half those tools and that FWI cant even get wet!. dude i live in Michigan, imma be driving my GTP in like a foot of snow and in the summer through thunderstorms lol, so the FWI is not gunna work for me. Maybe there is some way i can extend the tubing on the intake to get the cone away from engine a bit
