Vtec?

Which models of the Integra have the VTEC system. Also i am looking for an integra and the advertise a lot of them as GS. Is GS short for GS-R or is there really a GS model thanks.

only the Type-R and GS-R have the VTEC engine, stock. The RS, LS, SE, and GS do not.

Type R(B18C5) is 197hp 1.8L DOHC VTEC and the GSR(B18C1) is 170hp 1.8L DOHC VTEC. The other models are RS, GS, LS. Those are(B18B1) 142hp 1.8L DOHC NON VTEC. That is also for the 94+ Tegs too.

GS AND GSR are the most luxury appointed integras (fully loaded out the factory), they're practically identical except for the engine - the gsr is faster. And maybe some subtle additions like stiffer suspension and slightly augmented manual transmission on the gsr.

I believe LS is the same as a GS, depending on the year.
(some years they called em GS's, and others LS's)

I'd like to add that also there was an RS model available for the years prior to 1997 (or 1996, I could be wrong). The RS is the lowest model you can get and is also nonVTEC. If you have the money and time to look for one, I'd recommend the Type Rs if you're a performance nuts. Sure, they're not the fastest in straitaways, but man, they kick much arse on the tracks.

I would love to have a chance to own a Type R. Too bad they are hard to find these days.

RS, GS, and LS all had the same motor. RS is the lowest, then GS then LS. RS= racing sport, GS= gran sport and LS= Luxury Sport.
